RECAST

The project RECAST – Reuse of confiscated assets in the EU member states examined the legislation and practice of confiscation of criminal assets and how they are reused for charitable purposes. For example, when a crèche is set up in a building that was formerly owned by a criminal organization. Or sailing courses for people with disabilities on a sailing yacht owned by drug gangsters.
